A Community Gathering And Benefit For RMCCN

Sunday October 23rd, 2:00pm to 4:00pm

"Let us become the change we seek in the world."
- Mahatma Gandhi

Compassionate Community::

Healthy eco-systems require diversity. Healthy communities are also diverse. RMCCN is dedicated to living compassion amid diversity. In these days of deep social division, where we are quick to vilify and criticize those whose opinions and perspectives differ from our own, RMCCN strives to be a living example, demonstrating how a community embraces diversity and holds compassion for all of its members, respecting the truth and inspiration that expresses through all of its members. When communities are compassionate, security and confidence take root, innovation and collaboration flourish, and we feel empowered, supporting abundant inspiration, excitement, and fun.

Come join us for an afternoon of inspiration, excitement, and fun.

Launching Our Fall Giving Campaign:

Good nutrition is essential to the well-being of a community. Your financial support provides essential nourishment for RMCCN. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dependent on the generosity of our members to support our community service programs such as the free community calendar and community based NVC practice groups. It will also help us develop our school program for children, Giraffe Talk. Donations are tax deductible.

Anonymous donors have stepped forward to create a matching fund for this campaign.  Any donation received will be doubled up to $2,100.00!

And Now For The Entertainment:

Storytelling With Susan Kaplan:

Susan believes there is great wisdom, inspiration, and connection within stories, providing meaningful connections, universal themes, and opportunities to inspire, heal, vision, and re-envision. Storytelling is used by many people, such as parents, friends, elders, spiritual leaders, and helping professionals. Susan embraces storytelling as a pathway into deeper understanding of our being.

Music With Chris Van Note:

Chris Van Note met David Steele late one night here at the Mercury Cafe. The next thing he knew he was taking Compassionate Communication classes. He made the mistake of mentioning he played guitar and brought it to a class of David's where he played while David recited a poem. The rest is history. Chris plays a wide variety of music from Spanish classical to Brazilian Bossa Nova to popular music from around the world.

Poetry With David Steele:

The ancient bards, chosen of the fire god Apollo, were the true warriors of old; Homer, not Agamemnon, possessed the power to transform his world. Our poets, not our generals, wield the weapon of transformation in this age. David has chosen to take up that weapon
