Listening Across Differences

With Susan Kaplan

Friday, 16th 1:00-2:00pm

When someone says something harsh or vastly different than what you think, what do you do? Close down? Fight back? Pretend to listen? Ignore them?

When you have something to say, what do you do? Can't find the words to fully express yourself? Express words you later wished you had not said? Say way too much?

Come learn skills to slow down conversations before anger or conflict erupts. We'll practice building bridges - within our self and with others - across vastly different opinions and life experiences. the focus is on a higher quality of interaction and understanding rather than our old habits of "being right" or changing the other person. Reduce your stress and connect with others in more life giving ways.

Based on Nonviolent Communication practices and key distinctions - you'll learn a four step process to bridge differences.

Susan Kaplan, Certified Nonviolent Communication Trainer has been leading workshops on Nonviolent Communication and Courage & Renewal for years. She is eger to share her pasion with you.
