Participants have a choice to meet either one OR both of the above meeting times.
The focus of this group is practicing empathic listening, making empathy guesses, and non evaluative observations, making requests and identifying your needs and feelings. Skills needed to join this group are at least one course in NVC AND having read Marshall Rosenberg's book Nonviolent Communication, The Language of Life. This group shares information about events happening in people's lives, so honoring the privacy and confidentiality of what is shared is important.
Additionally, sometimes presentations are made to learn specific skills, handouts are sent sometimes before a meeting with a request to look it over , print it out for your use in order to be ready to practice a particular skill. People practicing to become NVC trainers or assistants are encouraged to join as there are occasional opportunities to make presentations to the group.
There is no monetary charge for this group, however, donations are accepted to this group as well as to the RMCCN.
Holly Myers is the organizer of the group and currently is a candidate for accreditation by RMCCN. If you are interested in finding out more about the group please contact Holly using the form below.
