CNVC Certification Credits:
This training can be applied towards the minimum of 50 days required as part of the process for Trainer Certification through the Center for Nonviolent Communication. (Note: it does not alone qualify participants for certification).
Living Compassion - Engage in an alive practice of Nonviolent Communication:
Every day, moment to moment, is a pathway to deeper compassion and clearer consciousness. The essence of Living Compassion lies in the capacity to cultivate the beauty of our deepest selves, discovering life and transforming our disconnected experiences. This training will focus on the awareness and consciousness of the "living energy of needs" or "beauty of needs," and establishing a core for living and integrating Nonviolent Communication into life.
- Create a clear pathway to identify, experience and cultivate the living energy of needs.
- Explore the inner awareness to move beyond NVC as a mechanical or rote process.
- Experience the life-enriching energy of needs which forms the spiritual basis of NVC.
- Identify and transform life-alienating thinking, becoming more fully present to life.
- Develop a stronger "We" consciousness in relationship and in community.
- Move beyond the pain of unmet needs to discover the beauty of needs.
Living Compassion - A year long immersion:
Support throughout the entire year:
By spanning a year, The Living Compassion program enables participants to deeply integrate what they learn into their daily lives and provides an experience that is truly transforming. The program consists of two 7 day and one 5 day retreats with teleclasses and personal coaching sessions in between the retreats. The program also includes partnerships with co-participants to support each other in practicing and integrating the skills and consciousness we learn during the retreats. I see the partnerships as broader than what "empathy buddies" means to me. Also, I believe that people will have more than one person that they will collaborate with during the year |

Requested Prior Experience:
Living Compassion - Building Community is an intermediate to advanced level training. We request participants have a functional understanding of NVC concepts and underlying consciousness, for example, how to use observations, feelings, needs, and requests in conversation and what empathy entails. If NVC is new to you we request that you take a foundations class prior to attending to familiarize yourself with these basic NVC skills and practices. The Rocky Mountain Compassionate Communication Center hosts foundations classes. Teleclasses are available through the NVC Academy or from Communication Works. Such classes are also conducted by various trainers around the world.
