
Phillip Wilder, CNVC Certified Trainer Candidate and founder of One Conversation, has been a teacher and language and literacy professor while seeking greater understanding of how to be truly human. Through One Conversation, Phillip consults with a wide array of organizations and leads conscious communication efforts in communities because he believes in the power of human connection to transform our world…one human conversation at a time.
Phillip holds three degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign including a Ph.D. in 2013 and has been a professor of language and literacy at Clemson University where his scholarship explored the intersection of youth language, identity and nonviolence. With over two decades guiding and evaluating global community partnerships, Phillip is the Senior Advisor to Mwangaza Education for Partnership in Tanzania whose Safe School initiative works alongside educators, parents and community members to support the emotional and physical safety of over 12,000 Tanzanian youth. He also serves as an advisor and moderator for the award-winning fellowship, the Student Dreamers Alliance, a leadership accelerator for Hispanic youth in South Carolina. A yoga and meditation teacher, Phillip spends several months a year in Tanzania.
