Lydia Hooper is a hybrid professional with 20 years of experience facilitating a wide variety of workshops and learning experiences for all ages. She is known for her expertise in complex systems, participatory processes, and inclusive trauma-informed practice.
Lydia was first introduced to Nonviolent Communication concepts in a co-parenting class in 2013, and devoted herself to deeper practice after a training with CNVC Certified Trainer Susan Kaplan in 2018. She has actively participated in numerous coaching groups convened by Miki Kashtan, completed Sarah Peyton’s course in Trauma-Informed Mindfulness, and received a certificate for Equitable Facilitation from Roxy Manning through the Nonviolent Communication Academy.
Lydia is currently an active participant in the RMCCN NVC Community-Based Facilitator Circle, a Restorative Justice Facilitator for The Conflict Center, and Vice-President of the Board of The Center for Trauma and Resilience. She is also the creator of the 40 Day Listening Challenge and the Complex Everyday Conflicts podcast series.
